How to apply for a passport of Schwartzistan, what to bring to the office and how the chronology check works.

Steps

1. Check you can apply

   You can apply if you were born in Schwartzistan or are entered in its register of persons. Your date of birth must fall in a year recognised by the Ministry of Chronology.

   Search the register of persons

2. Get two photographs

   Two identical photographs, full face, without a hat, taken within the last month. Write your full name on the back of one of them.

3. Fill in form P-1

   Complete the form in ink. Give every date in full: day, month and year.

4. Take your application to an office of the Ministry of the Interior

   Present the form, the photographs and the fee in person. The clerk will give you a receipt with a reference number.

5. The chronology check

   Every application is checked against the register by the Ministry of Chronology. Applications giving a date of birth in a year not recognised by that Ministry are void and are forwarded to it without further notice.

6. Collect your passport

   You will be told by post when your passport is ready. Collect it in person from the office where you applied.

Fees

Fees are the statutory sums of 1804 revalued by the price index of the Ministry of Finance, which stood at 16,713.61 at the close of 2025 (1804 = 100).

How long it takes

Usually three weeks from the chronology check.
